Details

Dr. Pablo Zavattieri is a Professor of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (by courtesy) and Director of the Computational Multi-Scale Materials Modeling Laboratory at Purdue University. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Balseiro Institute, Argentina, and Ph.D. from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University. Dr. Zavattieri was named a Purdue University Faculty Scholar, 2015 to 2020. In 2013, he received the Early Career Development award from the National Science Foundation. Dr. Zavattieri's research interests include computational solid mechanics applied to the multiscale analysis and design of advanced and novel materials (metals, composite materials, hierarchical, multifunctional, micro-, nano-, and biomimetic composite materials), interfaces, and complex structures
