Dr. Andrea Vacca is the Maha Fluid Power Faculty Chair and a professor of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Parma, Italy, and his Ph.D. in Energy Systems from the University of Florence, Italy. Dr. Vacca's main research interest is fluid power technology. His research goals include improving energy efficiency and controllability of fluid power systems and the reduction of noise emissions of fluid power components.
