Dr. William Travis Horton is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering with a Courtesy Appointment in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Horton works with Purdue's Bowen Laboratory and Ray W. Herrick Laboratories. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University in 1995, a Master's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University in 1997, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 2002. His research interests include advanced thermal energy conversion systems, energy utilization in buildings, and interactions between buildings and the environment.
