Dr. Elizabeth M. Topp is the Department Head and the Dane O. Kildsig Chair of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy at Purdue University. Dr. Topp earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, an ME in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Michigan. Dr. Topp specializes in chemical and physical stability of peptide and protein drugs in solid state, specifically, mechanisms of chemical degradation reactions in amorphous solids, higher resolution methods for protein conformation in solids, and improved stability of biotech drug products.
