Photovoltaic Structures for Use in Agriculture Farms

Dr. Mitchell R. Tuinstra is a Professor of Plant Breeding and Genetics, the Wickersham Chair of Excellence in Agricultural Research, and the Scientific Director of the Institute for Plant Sciences at Purdue University. Dr. Tuinstra earned a B.S. in Biology from Calvin College and an M.S. in Molecular and Quantitative Genetics and a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Purdue University. In 2017, Dr. Tuinstra was named a Fellow of American Society of Agronomy and the Crop Science Society of America. In 2009, he received the Seeds for Success Award. Dr. Tuinstra's research and teaching programs focus on corn and sorghum crop improvement, with projects in crop genetic resources and technology development for a number of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance traits.
