Dr. Haiyan "Henry" Zhang is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology and Director of Center for Technology Development at Purdue University. Dr. Zhang earned a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron, a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oakland University, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Zhang received the John P. Lisack Early-Career Engagement Award in 2011-2012 and the Outstanding Non-Tenured Faculty Member in 2010-2011. His research interests include advanced manufacturing control, mechatronics and robotics, vehicle powertrain/automatic transmission design.
