Details

Dr. Joseph V. Sinfield is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering in the Construction and Engineering Management Group at Purdue University. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University, and his MS and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2010, Dr. Sinfield was a National Academy of Engineering-U.S. Frontiers of Engineering Invitee, and in 2009, he was named a 3M Innovation Influencer. Dr. Sinfield's research interests include the development and application of advanced sensing technologies for civil engineering applications, e.g. laser-based sensing, wireless sensor systems, and piezoelectric devices, as well as engineering business management, strategic planning, and innovation.
