Dr. Gintaras "Rex" Reklaitis is the Burton and Kathryn Gedge Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Co-director of the Pharmaceutical Technology and Education Center at Purdue University. He is the Deputy Director of the NSF Engineering Research Center for Structured Organic Composites at Purdue. Dr. Reklaitis earned a B.S. from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. In 2017, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) awarded Dr. Reklaitis with the Warren K. Lewis Award for Chemical Engineering Education. His research interests involves the application of computing, information, and systems technology to support the complex decisions inherent to the design and operation of processing systems, with emphasis on applications in the pharmaceutical industry and in integrated energy systems.
