Dr. Ozan Akkus was an Associate Professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. He is now an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Akkus earned a B.S.M.E. and M.S. in Engineering Sciences from the Middle East Technical University and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. His area of research is involved in understanding the cause of skeletal fragility due to age, disease, overuse, and sterilization.
