Dr. Y. Charlie Hu is a Professor of Computer and Electrical Engineering, a Professor of Computer Science (courtesy), and leads the Distributed Systems and Networking Lab at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University. Dr. Hu was named a Purdue University Faculty Scholar, 2011 to 2016, and an ACM Distinguished Scientist. Dr. Hu's research interests include distributed systems, operating systems, networking, and high performance computing.
Dr. Samuel Midkiff is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Midkiff's research focuses on compilers, memory and consistency models, compiling for low power, software reliability, compiling for high performance, and extensible compilers.
Dr. Hu and Dr. Midkiff received Google's prestigious Research Award Program grants for their work on their project, "Detecting No-Sleep Energy Bugs in Smartphone Apps."
