Dr. Alexander Kildishev is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and at the Birck Nanotechnology Center at Purdue University. Dr. Kildishev received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Kharkov State Polytechnic University, Ukraine. Dr. Kildishev leads the development of simulation strategies, methods, and software tools for applied electromagnetics and multiphysics simulations in the area of nanoplasmonic devices and optical metamaterials, MRI safety, and magnetic silencing. His current research focuses on the simulation of nanophotonic devices including modeling of quantum emitters on optical metasurfaces, spasers, 2D materials, and transformation optics.
