Dr. Eric Nauman is the Director of the College of Engineering Honors Program, a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and by courtesy a Professor of Basic Medical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, and the Director of the Human Injury Research and Regenerative Technologies Laboratory at Purdue University. Dr. Nauman received an M.S.M.E. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Nauman was the recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in Memory of Charles B. Murphy, which is Purdue's highest undergraduate teaching honor. He received the Purdue University College of Engineering Faculty Award of Excellence - A. A. Potter Award in 2014 and named the B.F.S. Schaefer Outstanding Young Faculty Scholar in the School of Mechanical Engineering in 2010. He was named a Purdue University Faculty Scholar, 2010 to 2015. His research interests include orthopedic tissue regeneration, the repair of vital organs, the development of novel cancer treatments, and the primary and secondary injury patterns of the central nervous system.
