Details

Dr. Elisa Bertino is a Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University. She is also the Research Director of CERIAS (Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security) and the Director of Cyber Center at Discovery Park. Dr. Bertino earned her Ph.D. from University of Pisa. In 2017, Dr. Bertino was inducted into the Information Systems Security Association's Hall of Fame for her work with online security. In 2016, Dr. Bertino was awarded the distinction of Fellow from the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Her research interests include access control systems, secure publishing techniques and secure broadcast for XML data, advanced RBAC models and foundations of access control models, trust negotiation languages and privacy, and data mining and security.
