Details

Dr. W. Andy Tao is a Professor of Biochemistry, holding courtesy appointments in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University. Dr. Tao received his Ph.D. from Purdue University. In 2011, he was selected as a Purdue University Faculty Scholar for the period 2011 to 2016. Dr. Tao was awarded the NSF CAREER Award annually from 2007 to 2012 and the 3M Non-Tenured Faculty Award annually from 2008 to 2011. The mission of Dr. Tao's research group is to bridge the gap between technology and biomedical/biochemical discovery, with their research focusing on the development of novel strategies and reagents to efficiently target and discover proteins of important biological relevance as potential biomarkers.
