Details

Dr. Brad Duerstock is an Associate Professor of Engineering Practice with a joint appointment in Biomedical Engineering and Industrial Engineering and a courtesy appointment in Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University. He is also the Director of the Institute for Accessible Science at Purdue. Dr. Duerstock earned a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Purdue University. His research focuses on improving human-technology interaction and the design and delivery of customized technologies, particularly for persons with physical disabilities. Motor and sensory impairments in the human system provide unique challenges in the design of technological solutions that provide support or greater functionality to these individuals.
