Dr. Rusi Taleyarkhan is a Professor of Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University. He received a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, an MBA, and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research interests include nano-to-macro scale applications of nuclear science, nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics, acoustic inertial confinement fusion, metastable fluid, radiation interactions with matter and surface modifications, materials synthesis and transmutation, and controlled hydrogen production. Dr. Taleyarkhan is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society and an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
