Dr. Robert P Lucht is the Ralph and Bettye Bailey Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering and a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics by courtesy at Purdue University. Dr. Lucht earned his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He is a fellow of the Optical Society of America, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Dr. Lucht's research interests include the development of laser-based measurement techniques for applications in combusting flows. He has also been a leader in the application of laser techniques in high-pressure combustion test rigs.
