Dr. E. Daniel Hirleman is the Chief Corporate and Global Partnerships Officer at Purdue University. From 1999-2001, Dr. Hirleman was a Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering and a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (by courtesy) at Purdue. From 2001-2010, Dr. Hirleman was a Professor and the William E. and Florence E. Perry Head of Mechanical Engineering and a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (by courtesy) at Purdue. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue. His research interests include laser-based sensors to detect and identify cells and colonies for biohazard characterization, high-throughput screening, and stem cell diagnostics.
