Dr. James Garrison is a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering/Division of Environmental and Ecological Engineering by courtesy at Purdue University. He earned his B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, M.S. from Stanford University, and Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Garrison received first place in the GPS World Applications Contest, the NASA Exceptional Space Act Award, and the Institute of Navigation, Early Achievement Award. Dr. Garrison's research focuses on the utilization of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), with an emphasis on improving the robustness of GNSS navigation and developing new applications of GNSS to the field of Earth remote sensing.
