Details

Dr. James Caruthers is the Gerald and Sarah Skidmore Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Caruthers earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2016, he was selected as a fellow of the American Physical Society. Dr. Caruthers' research interests include design of formulated rubbers, the nonlinear mechanical behavior of engineering polymers, rational design methods for catalysts, and the origins of the glass transition.
