Dr. Eckhard Groll is the Reilly Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Office of Professional Practice at Purdue University. He received his B.S. and M.S. from Ruhr-University Bochum and a Ph.D. from the University of Hannover. Dr. Groll was awarded the 2013 Global Engineering Impact Award, 2007 Purdue University Faculty Scholar Award, and the 2007 Ruth and Joel Spira Award. Dr. Groll's research interests are the thermal sciences as applied to heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) systems and equipment.
