Dr. Alexander Wei is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at Purdue University. Dr. Wei is a former Fulbright Scholar. He received a B.S. from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. In 2007, he was selected as a University Faculty Scholar. Dr. Wei's research lab focuses on blending creative organic synthesis with nanostructured materials science and self-assembly principles to produce exotic materials with unique physical or biomimetic function. The two areas of research are targeted therapies powered by light and low cost sensors.
