Details

Dr. Jonathan Wilker is a Professor of Chemistry at Purdue University. He received his B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, his Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and was a postdoctoral scholar at the California Institute of Technology. Dr. Wilker was named to the 2013 class of PopTech fellows and he received the College of Science Outstanding Teacher Award in 2011. As head of the Wilker Research group, his research interests include characterizing the composition, bonding, and performance of biomaterials produced by mussels, barnacles, oysters, and other species.
