Dr. Stephen Heister is the Raisbeck Engineering Distinguished Professor for Engineering and Technology Integration in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Since 2003, Dr. Heister has been the Director of the Rolls Royce University Technology Center in High Mach Propulsion. Dr. Heister received his B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. In 2005, Dr. Heister received the C. T. Sun Research Award, in 2011, he received the Elmer F. Bruhn Teaching Award, and from 1998 to 2003, he was a Purdue University Faculty Scholar. His research interests include rocket propulsion and liquid injection systems.
