Dr. James Braun is the Herrick Professor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Professor of Environmental and Ecological Engineering with a Courtesy Appointment in Civil Engineering at Purdue University. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Wisconsin University. Dr. Braun's combines the use of computer modeling, optimization, and experiments to study and improve the performance of thermal systems.
