Dr. Ernest Blatchley III is a Professor of Civil Engineering and Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Purdue University. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Blatchley is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer, American Academy of Environmental Engineers, by Eminence in the Specialty of Water Supply and Wastewater since 2006 and a member of Sigma Xi since 2007. In 2014, he was named a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineering. His research focuses on physico/chemical processes of environmental engineering, including photochemical reactors, chemical disinfection systems, and developing water reuse techniques and processes.
