Dr. Hilkka Kenttamaa is the Frank Brown Distinguished Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at Purdue University. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Helsinki University, Finland. In 2016, Dr. Kenttamaa was awarded the distinction of Fellow from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and in 2015, she received the Frank H. Field & Joe L. Franklin Award for Outstanding Achievement in Mass Spectrometry from the American Chemical Society. Her research interests include aspects of organic and bioorganic mass spectrometry, fundamental understanding of gas-phase ion chemistry, and structural characterization of molecules.
