Dr. Charles Bouman is the Showalter Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. He is also a Co-Director of the Purdue MRI Facility. Dr. Bouman received a B.S.E.E. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University. In 2015, Dr. Bouman was named a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. He is a Fellow of the Society for Imaging Science and Technology, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and the Society of Photographic and Instrumentation Engineers. Dr. Bouman's research interests include biomedical imaging and sensing, communications, networking, and signals and image processing.
