Dr. Haiyan Wang is the Basil S. Turner Professor of Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Wang has a joint appointment in Materials Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. She received her B.S. from Nanchang University, her M.S. from the Institute of Metal Research, and her Ph.D. from North Carolina State University. Dr. Wang is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), Materials Research Society (MRS), American Physical Society (APS), the American Society of Materials, International (ASM), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and The American Ceramic Society (ACerS). Dr. Wang's research interest includes processing and characterization of oxide- and nitride-based thin films in nanocomposite form for microelectronics, photonics, optoelectronics, ferroelectric and multiferroics, superconductors, solid oxide fuel cells, and batteries.
