Dr. Andrew Whelton is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering and Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Whelton received a B.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. Dr. Whelton's honors include a National Research Council Fellowship, National Science Foundation IGERT Fellowship, and an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education Fellowship. Dr. Whelton's research interests include conducting research to investigate and solve problems that affect our natural and built environments with an expertise in polymer science, analytical chemistry, food science, and nanoengineering.
