Dr. Marxa Figueiredo is an Associate Professor of Basic Medical Sciences at Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Figueiredo earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Federal University of Goias, Brazil and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research aims to understand the interactions between the skeletal and immune systems with the goal to develop novel therapeutic applications.
