Dr. Fabio Semperlotti is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Semperlotti earned an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Astronautical Engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. In 2015, he received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research Young Investigator Program (YIP) award. Dr. Semperlotti's research interests include structural health monitoring, wave propagation, structural dynamics and vibration control, adaptive structures, periodic structures and acoustic metamaterials, energy harvesting, and thermoacoustics.
