Wafer-Scale Vacuum Packaging for Optomechanical Inertial Sensors

Dr. Sunil Bhave is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Bhave is the principal investigator of Purdue's OxideMEMs Lab. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Bhave received the NSF CAREER Award in 2007 and the DARPA Young Faculty Award in 2008. Dr. Bhave's research interests include inter-domain coupling in optomechanical, spin acoustic, and atomic MEMS devices. He uses these coupled systems to design inertial measurement units, clocks, magnetic field sensors, and field-programmable microwave subsystems.
