Dr. Barbara L. Golden is a Professor of Biochemistry and Biological Sciences (by courtesy) at Purdue University. Dr. Golden earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Duke University. In 2016, Dr. Golden was awarded the distinction of Fellow from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in 2014, she was named a University Faculty Scholar, and in 2011, she received the Seed for Success Award, both from Purdue. Her research focuses on the structural basis for RNA and ribozyme function.
