Details

Dr. R. Graham Cooks is the Henry Bohn Hass Distinguished Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Co-Director of the Center for Analytical Instrumentation Development at Purdue University. He earned a B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. from the University of Natal and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University. Dr. Cooks was recently awarded the Aston Medal from the British Mass Spectrometry Society. In 2014, Dr. Cooks received the Nobel Laureate Signature Award for Graduate Education in Chemistry and named a 2014 Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. Dr. Cooks was elected into the National Academy of Sciences in 2015, he was awarded the Dreyfus Prize in Chemical Sciences in 2013, and he was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science in 2010. He has also received numerous other awards and honors. Dr. Cooks' research focuses on mass spectrometry, including fundamental phenomena, instrumentation, and analytical applications.
