Dr. Rebecca Kramer is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. She received her B.S. from Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University. In 2015, Dr. Kramer was on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award. In 2014, she received the NASA Early Career Faculty Award. During 2007 to 2010, she was a National Science Foundation Fellow. Dr. Kramer's research focuses on scalable manufacturing, soft robotics, bulk and surface modification of materials for smart interfacial processes, reconfigurable/morphing structures, and sensory-active skins/fabrics for platforms including wearables, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and robotics.
