Details

Dr. Karthik Ramani is the Donald W. Feddersen Professor of Mechanical Engineering, a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering by courtesy, and the Director of C Design Lab at Purdue University. Dr. Ramani received a B.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, M.S. from The Ohio State University, and Ph.D. from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering. His current research interests include the intersection of mechanical engineering and information science and technology, areas spanning design and manufacturing, new kernels for shape understanding using machine learning, geometric computing, and human-computer natural user interaction and interfaces with shapes and sketches.
