Dr. W. Daniel Leon-Salas is an Associate Professor of Electrical Technology and is the Director of the Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab at Purdue University. He received his B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin, Arequipa, Peru, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2014, Dr. Leon-Salas was named an Outstanding Faculty in Discover by Purdue's School of Engineering Technology. In 2011, he received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the Leadership Excellence Achievement Program (LEAP) Award from the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers. Dr. Leon-Salas' research interests include CMOS image sensors, solar energy harvesting, and optical devices.
