Details

Dr. David Cappelleri is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Cappelleri earned a B.S. from Villanova University and a M.S. from Pennsylvania State University, both in Mechanical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, Dr. Cappelleri received the John J. Gallen Memorial Award from Villanova University College of Engineering Alumni Society, and in 2012, he received the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award. His research interests include multiscale robotic manipulation, automation, and assembly; mobile micro/nano robotics; micro/nano aerial and ground vehicle design and control; medical robotics and devices; MEMS device design and fabrication to aid in robotics and automation tasks; and automation for the life sciences, mechatronics, and robotic system integration.
