Researchers at Purdue University have developed a crystallization simulation and visualization software for fast and robust model-based design of crystallization systems. Crystallization consists of several important and often sensitive steps whose inputs can dramatically affect system performance and the resultant product. Good system design is needed to ensure desired particle properties for industries such as fine and bulk chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals. The Purdue solution is a model-based software which helps companies avoid the unnecessary time and material losses often associated with experimental techniques.
