Researchers at Purdue University have developed a new method for randomized load-balancing. This new method requires less randomness for the load-balancing which makes the process more efficient. This also makes it easier for the small-scale server farms to handle. There is also less distributed information in this new method which also helps with the efficiency of the process. This new method could open the door for small-scale server farms to be able to better utilize the load-balancing process. Advantages: -Less randomness -Less distributed information -Utilizes graphs to connects servers Potential Applications: -Load-balancing -Server Systems |
