Aviation technology has advanced a lot over the past years. There are constant scans and diagnoses running while the plan is flying. All of these things try to make the plan as efficient as possible. The problem is the current propulsion systems can only be so efficient. The current systems use gear boxes and other inefficient methods. For as important as aviation technology has become today, there needs to be a more efficient way for the planes propulsion systems to function.

Researchers at Purdue University have developed a new method for planes' propulsion systems. This new method involves using hydraulics to distribute engine power to secondary controllers which creates thrust. This new way is more efficient and allows for the optimum use of engine power for any circumstance the plane may be in. Also, an additional device can be added to the plane to store the energy and then use it later. This new method is more efficient for the propulsion systems of the aviation technology today.
