In order to attach an antenna to a vehicle a different mounting bracket is required for each vehicle type. This meant extra engineering efforts, complicated logistics, and the need to keep large numbers of possible replacement parts in storage. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), has developed, fielded, and patented a Universal Antenna Mount Bracket that accepts a universal antenna support base and can be mounted to a wide variety of vehicles. This invention is rugged, durable, and reliable. The capability to have only one bracket with multiple applications cuts down on parts inventory, frees up storage space, and decreases manufacturing costs. Advantages: -Works on a wide variety of vehicles -Reduces parts inventory -Lowers manufacturing costs -Rugged, durable, and reliable Potential Applications: -Event management -Emergency response -TV and/or radio broadcasting |
