In the commercial and military communications field, it is often necessary to move communication hubs and controllers in areas proximate to significant events. In such situations, it is necessary to disassemble and pack all the communication equipment in cases for transporting and then unpack and reassemble in each destination, repeating the same process in each destination. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), has developed and patented a communications vehicle that includes a vehicle frame, a shelter housing defining an interior and an exterior, and a signal interface that is prepared for moving the equipment to any desired location. This system provides a communications assembly including a first cabling raceway exclusively dedicated for radio frequency, a second cabling raceway exclusively dedicated for non-radio frequency, and a third cabling raceway exclusively dedicated for alternating current and direct current transmitting. Advantages: -Includes dedicated wiring raceways that separate wiring for different uses -Provides a method of transporting a communications array -Includes a power input interface and a power output interface -Provides a method for powering a vehicle array Potential Applications: -Military |
