In a variety of different contexts, it is desirable to process raw data to generate output information. Data consist of raw facts, such as customer names and addresses, which have to be interpreted before they can be utilized. When quantities of data for analysis become very large, manual processing becomes cumbersome or time consuming, and can only be used effectively if held in a data management system. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), has developed and patented a data management system for managing large quantities of data transforming raw data in a format that facilitates evaluation and analysis. This system can be configured and automated by the user providing different processing sequences to generate outputs. Advantages: -Processes raw data files generating information -Provides four different processing sequences Potential Applications: -Banking -Airlines -Universities -Hospitals -Any institution that generates raw data |
