Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), has patented an auto-adjusting targeting system that utilizes red-dot optic technology to accurately and quickly acquire and engage targets from weapon systems with projectiles such as rifles. This innovative targeting system allows a user to acquire the center of mass on a target without the necessity of manually adjusting the weapon system based on extenal inputs. In essence, a "SMART" optical targeting system that provides quick target acquisition and precision aiming.
