CRANE-100321
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) has designed, patented, and deployed a novel system and method for radio communication. It was necessary to update communications to use multiple radios on multiple antennas in multiple modes in case of equipment failure. A digital circuit allows 46 unique combinations of radios, antennas, and mode that can be changed in less than one second if needed. This device integrates with currently existing helicopter communications equipment and requires no modification.

Advantages:
-RF and Digital switching based on user input
-Light weight
-Fail safe
-Reconfigurable

Potential Applications:
-Law Enforcement
-Aviation Industry
