Purdue Researchers have developed a Cell Concentration and Pathogen Recovery (CCR) kit that allows a rapid concentration and recovery of microbes. The CCR kit is a convenient method for cell concentrations and pathogen recovery. It functions to concentrate microorganisms so that they can be interrogated for the risk of ingesting pathogens from contaminated food. It is also useful for research purposes in the lab. It works rapidly and simply while reducing cell concentration rates (concentrates microbial cells from 100 ml to 100 l in 30 min.) and pathogen recovery time. The CCR kit allows experiments to be run very efficiently, and is convenient to transport. It is also cost-effective and can be used to test a wide variety of samples.

Advantages:
-High throughput capabilities
-Enhanced sensitivity to detect
-Stand-alone integrated system
